Main Bathroom
As the Developer had advised me that this room would be of a standard design throughout the entire apartment block, I was somewhat restricted in implementing my style ideas here. The sanitary ware and chrome tap fittings were all selected by the Developer as well as the floor and wall tiles so essentially my role in here was to select a complimentary paint colour and bathroom accessories, including light fittings. As the cistern and pipes were to be concealed I decided to implement a neat-fitting ivory cabinet under the wash hand basin in keeping with the nearby built-in ivory bedroom wardrobes. I opted for two chrome spotlights overhead, as there are no windows in this bathroom. In addition I selected a large plain rectangular mirror for above the wash-hand basin so as to reflect the light, over which I hung a neat chrome and glass shaving light. To complete the look I sourced a single contemporary glass shelf for over the WC. All floor and wall tiles are large and light to create the illusion of space, so my choice of colour scheme and accessories are once again very neutral with a hint of cream for warmth. The look was softened with a selection of candles and toiletries, displayed by the washbasin and on the shelf directly opposite the door.
