"Cronia's apartment had a very strong overall look... Beautiful styling was apparent everywhere."
Neville Knott, presenter of RTE 1's Showhouse
Hall
I kept this area simple and understated and, most importantly, uncluttered to give a spacious and elegant first impression. As there are no windows here I opted for a fresh, neutral colour scheme to open up the space. This is complimented by impressive light, polished ceramic floor tiles, which lead down to the master bedroom door and follow right through to the kitchen at the opposite end. This classic scheme beautifully compliments the seven flush oak doors, which lead off from this small hallway.
Considering the necessary presence of a radiator on the wall outside Bedrooms 1 & 2, storage out here will consist solely of a neat contemporary wall-mounted "tree" coat stand just inside the front door, which is in itself an interesting and eye-catching feature. Introducing wallpaper to this area would I feel, look too disjointed because of the many doors, so instead I chose to add colour and drama to the hallway through my selection of contemporary artwork and a retro-style mirror.
